膵がん

膵がん研究

最も予後不良とされる膵癌の治療成績改善を目指して、膵癌早期診断・早期治療のための研究、進行膵癌に対する新規治療法の研究を行っています。

特に、膵癌早期診断に必要不可欠な研究として、膵癌の前駆病変であるPancreatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia
(PanIN)とIntraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasia(IPMN)に関する国際共同研究を進めています。

現在、World Health organization (WHO)およびArmed Forces Institute of Pathology(AFIP)による膵癌前駆病変の分類には、この国際共同研究によって作成されたPanINとIPMNの定義が採用されています。
